Robert Lawrence Jones passed away peacefully on 20 May, 2019; his son was at his side. Born at South Nassau Communities Hospital on 16 November, 1930, Robert was a lifetime resident of Long Island. A deeply patriotic man, he proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked at the New York Daily News for forty-seven years, retiring in 1995. Robert was happily married to his wife Anastasia (Deceased, 2009) for fifty-three years. He is survived by his six children and more than a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is already profoundly missed.
