It is with deep sadness that we announce that on 2/18/2019, Patrick F. Murphy passed away at the age of 83 surrounded by family.

Patrick was preceded in death by his son Thomas and will be forever remembered by Bernadette, his beloved and devoted wife of 59 years; daughters Patricia Shaw, Dawn Burns (Joe), sons John (Susan) and Daniel (Michele); his sister Sheila Carnase (Andy); Grandchildren Tara, Thomas, Kristen, Kevin, Elizabeth, Joseph, Patrick, Owen, Michael Jack, Kieran and Great Grand-Children Noah, Madeline and Amaya.

Patrick was born on October 6, 1935 in the Bronx, NY to John (Jack) and Elizabeth Murphy. After serving his country in the U.S Army, he joined the New York City Fire Department and proudly served the City of New York for 30 years before retiring at the rank of Lieutenant in 1990.

Patrick was a devoted husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. He was a devout Catholic who attended Sunday mass every week throughout his entire life.

Second only to his devotion to family and church he had a passion for the game of golf. As he would never miss mass on Sunday, he would almost never miss his regularly scheduled golf outing every Friday with his golf club the Dulce Duffers.
