SMITH - Patricia Stewart, 76, of Cary N.C. died peacefully on April 24, 2016. Patricia was born October 31, 1939 to Frank and Kester Stewart of Garden City, N.Y. She attended Garden City High School and then moved on to SUNY Cortland. She retired from the Rockville Centre Public Library. Patricia married Schuyler Smith in 1959 and settled in Rockville Centre, N.Y. where they raised three children. Patricia was pre-deceased by her parents, Frank and Kester and sister Linda Dinko. She is survived by her loving husband Schuyler Smith of 57 years, three children Schuyler (Lisa), Dale Conners (Tom) and Karen Rowe (Tim). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Lauren, Melissa, Tom, Jay, Kimberly, Megan and Andrew, and sister Carol Jonas. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 2nd at 10:00 am at the Thomas A. Glynn & Son Funeral Home, 20 Lincoln Ave. Rockville Centre, NY 11570 with interment to follow at Greenfield Cemetery, Uniondale, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice
