It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward J. Turner Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on October 28, 2024. A man known for his kindness, dedication, and lively spirit, Ed touched the lives of all who knew him.

Ed was the husband of Eileen. Together, they built a beautiful family. Ed was a devoted father to Danny, married to Jaclynn; Timmy; and Shaun, married to Abby. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Elijah and Lily, who brought him immense joy and pride.

A gifted chef with a passion for bringing people together through food, Ed spent many years perfecting his craft in the kitchen. His culinary creations were celebrated by friends, family, and all who had the pleasure of tasting them. Beyond his work, Ed was a dedicated New York Islanders fan. His enthusiasm and loyalty for the team were unmatched, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Halloween held a special place in Ed's heart, marking it as his favorite holiday, a time filled with fun, family and memories.

In honor of Ed's love for Halloween his funeral is scheduled for Thursday October 31. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life, share stories, and remember the warmth, laughter, and love he brought to all who knew him at the Thomas A. Glynn & Son Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:30 and 7:00 to 9:00. A service will be held at 3:30 during the visitation.
